What is Thermography?

Thermography is a very sensitive and reliable way to map and display temperature differences in the body.

Inflammatory and hypothermic patterns will present themselves on the thermography scan, making it one of the most accurate ways to detect problems in the vascular, muscular, neural, and skeletal systems.

Imagine seeing into your body and identifying areas of inflammation without having to undergo invasive testing.

Thermal imaging uses infrared technology to detect changes in body temperature, which can indicate the presence of inflammation and disease. This knowledge is a powerful tool that can give you the direction you need to heal.

What's the difference between Thermography and Mammogram?

A mammogram is an x-ray of the breast used to detect structures. The structures typically take years to form to where they can be seen on a mammogram.

Thermography is a test that uses infrared heat to detect physiological and functional changes. Because thermography sees inflammation, it can be used to identify areas that may be at risk for disease years before it shows up as a structure on a mammogram – making it a great way to be preventative and proactive about your breast health.

Thermography can help create a more complete picture of breast health when done in conjunction with mammography. We do not believe thermography is meant to replace a mammogram but is a non-invasive addition to a yearly breast health check routine.

Who’s a good candidate?

The Women’s Health Check Thermography is a preventative tool that can be used to screen for a variety of women’s health concerns, such as hormonal imbalance, breast disease, digestive issues, dental inflammation, thyroid dysfunction, lymphatic congestion, adrenal fatigue, reproductive organ inflammation, autonomic nervous system dysfunction, and more.

The medical report was designed with an easy-to-understand ‘risk level’ slider. The report delivers an overall, objective grading of a woman’s health status. Women can use this information to take charge of their health and work with their trusted Practitioner to prevent or heal conditions before they get serious.

Preventative care is key to maintaining good health as it allows for early detection and treatment of health concerns. Knowledge is power, and with the Women’s Health Check Thermography report, women can arm themselves with the knowledge they need to make informed decisions about their health.

Frequently Asked Questions about Thermography
Does breast thermography replace mammograms?

Absolutely not! Similarly, mammograms do not replace thermography. In fact, the two tests complement each other. Thermography can be used in addition to mammography as part of regular breast health care.

How often should I do thermography?

If it is your first time having breast thermography, it is recommended to have a follow-up picture taken in 3 months to establish your baseline. Once the baseline is established, breast thermography should be done yearly.

Is thermography covered by insurance?

Unfortunately, thermography is not covered by insurance, but we do accept HSA (health savings account) and FSA (flex spending account) card payments. We also accept Care Credit.

Do I need a doctor's recommendation for thermography?

No. You do not need a doctor's recommendation to book a thermography appointment.

Is thermography safe?

Yes! Thermal imaging uses no radiation or intravenous methods and does not touch the body. The procedure is painless and completely safe. Infrared imaging does not replace any other form of imaging (e.g., CT, MRI, mammography) but is designed to be used in addition to other tests to provide physiological information that cannot be obtained from any other examination procedure.

Can thermography be done while pregnant and/or breastfeeding?

No. Thermography should not be done during pregnancy or while lactating. Due to the increase in blood flow to the breast tissue, this does not allow for an accurate reading or baseline establishment.

At what age can thermography be done?

Since thermography is non-invasive, this test can be done at any age! Mammograms are not recommended until 40 years old. This makes thermography an excellent option for younger women that want to be proactive about their breast health.

“The most promising aspect of thermography is its ability to spot anomalies years before mammography.”

ARRAY 11 Chemical Immune Reactivity Screen

The Array 11 Chemical Immune Reactivity Screen is an invaluable tool recommended for patients exhibiting various immune-related conditions. It aids in identifying the loss of immune tolerance triggered by xenobiotic exposure, potentially leading to autoimmune reactivity. This test offers insights into autoimmune diseases and related family histories by assessing chemical sensitivities, intolerance, and abnormal immune function. Moreover, it assists in formulating guidelines for avoiding specific chemicals to mitigate the risk of autoimmune processes, making it indispensable for comprehensive patient care.

Array 10-90

The Array 10-90 panel evaluates immune reactions to 90 of the most commonly consumed raw and/or modified foods, food enzymes, lectins, and artificial food additives tested as part of the Array 10 panel. It can detect dietary-related triggers of autoimmune reactivity and monitor the efficacy of customized dietary protocols.

Array 11 Chemical Reactivity Screen

The Chemical Immune Reactivity Screen, also known as Array 11, goes beyond conventional tests by measuring the immune response to chemicals bound to human proteins rather than merely identifying chemical exposure levels. This unique approach provides valuable insights into an individual's health risk from chemical exposure and its impact on the body. Array 11 assesses a comprehensive range of chemical toxins that can bind to body tissues due to environmental exposure, offering a detailed analysis of the antigens tested. It is particularly beneficial for patients experiencing increased chemical sensitivity or intolerance, abnormal immune system functioning, autoimmune conditions, or with a family history of autoimmune disease. Clinically, Array 11 helps identify the loss of immune tolerance associated with chemical exposure, guides the avoidance of specific chemicals to mitigate autoimmune reactivity, and monitors the effectiveness of clinical management for patients.

Array 12: Pathogen-Associated Immune Reactivity Screen

The human body is home to a vast variety of microorganisms that help keep you healthy, so long as it is well balanced. In your gut alone, there are thought to be at least ten times more microbes than there are human cells in your whole body. These micro-organisms regulate many important bodily functions aid your immune system in developing and maturing in infancy and childhood, and help keep you healthy throughout your lifetime. The human microbiota is influenced by many factors, including genetic makeup, diet, environmental exposures, stress, sleep, and activity. However, new industries, new chemicals and drugs, and new foods can overload your immune system, effectively overwhelming your body with more and more environmental stressors. This can lead to your microbiome becoming imbalanced, which can open the floodgates to invading pathogens, acute infections, as well as colonization by non-beneficial bacteria, viruses, yeasts, and parasites. As your immune system attempts to restore balance, it can end up "attacking" your own cells, tissues, and/or organs that have been infected or contaminated with infectious agents. This may or may not eventually result in autoimmune reactivity. Array 12 assesses a variety of infectious agents as triggers of autoimmunity: those that are found in the body as well as those that we may be exposed to in our environment. These include oral pathogens, gastrointestinal pathogens, gut parasites, bacterial and stealth pathogens, environmental molds, viral pathogens, and tick-borne pathogens, including Borrelia burgdoferi, which is known to cause Lyme disease.

Array 5: Systemic Autoimmune Reactivity Screen

Many studies show that the autoimmune antibody can be elevated in the blood many years before symptoms occur. Cyrex Labs has now developed its Cyrex Labs Array #5, a comprehensive autoimmune screen that helps in the early detection of autoimmunity. If detected early, natural and/or medical interventions can begin in order to minimize long-term illness and promote a better quality of life. Multiple autoimmune antibodies are tested in this panel due to the fact that more than 40% of those with autoantibodies in one area have autoantibodies in other areas of the body. The Cyrex Array #5 tests the gamut of autoimmune antibodies in order to minimize "missing" a potential autoimmune condition.

Given its prevalence and severity, understanding one's cardiovascular risk factors is crucial. Vibrant America offers a comprehensive range of tests aimed at assessing individual risk profiles or monitoring existing conditions. Heart disease stands as the leading cause of death worldwide, affecting both men and women. Surprisingly, women are just as susceptible to heart attacks as men, and in some cases, even more so. Despite this, more women than men succumb to heart disease annually, and women also face a higher risk of mortality following their first heart attack.

Cleveland Heart Lab Inflammation Profile PLUS 4

The Cleveland Heart Lab Inflammation Profile PLUS 4 offers advanced testing beyond routine lipid screening, aiming to assess cardiovascular risk comprehensively. While traditional cholesterol testing is crucial, it may not present the complete cardiovascular health picture. Recent evidence suggests inflammation within the artery wall significantly contributes to heart attacks and strokes, even in individuals with normal cholesterol levels. This test evaluates inflammatory status using blood and urine biomarkers, providing insights into a patient's cardiovascular risk spectrum. By monitoring inflammation levels, healthcare providers can detect and treat inflammation early, potentially reducing the risk of cardiovascular events over a patient's lifetime. This comprehensive test encompasses biomarkers related to lifestyle concerns, metabolic diseases, and cardiovascular risk, including F2-IsoPs, OxLDL, ADMA/SDMA, Microalbumin, hsCRP, Lp-PLA2 Activity, MPO, TMAO, CoQ10, OmegaCheck, and the Insulin Resistance Panel and Score, which aids in diagnosing glycemic disorders and assessing insulin resistance, offering valuable information for managing diabetes and related conditions.

By identifying both transcellular and paracellular routes of intestinal barrier penetration, this test offers insights into "leaky gut" - the passage of large molecules between intestinal cells. This information helps assess the potential challenges to the immune system and guides strategies for gut health optimization.

Cyrex Array 22

The Cyrex Array 22 lab test is designed to identify factors contributing to intestinal dysbiosis and impaired gut barrier function. By evaluating markers associated with bacterial overgrowth in the small intestine and the release of bacterial cytotoxins, this test helps assess the integrity of the intestinal barrier and the risk of autoimmune activation. Specifically, it aids in guiding treatment protocols for conditions like irritable bowel syndrome (IBS) and small intestinal bacterial overgrowth (SIBO), offering valuable insights for individuals experiencing symptoms such as malabsorption, weight loss, anemia, fatty stools, fatigue, reflux, skin disorders, obesity, or food intolerances. Given that a significant portion of IBS cases stem from bacterial infections producing cytolethal-distending toxins, the Cyrex Array 22 test provides crucial information on immune dysregulation, low-grade inflammation, and altered gastrointestinal permeability, facilitating accurate diagnosis and tailored treatment plans.

Infrared Sauna

What is an Infrared Sauna?

An Infrared Sauna utilizes Far Infrared Radiation (FIR) to heat the body directly, rather than heating the air like traditional saunas.

This gentle heat penetrates deeply into the skin, promoting relaxation and stimulating detoxification through sweat.

What are the Benefits?

  • Better Circulation and Increased Energy : The sauna emits FIR energy that is absorbed by human cells, causing a physical phenomenon called "resonance". Thus, the cellular activities are instantly invigorated, resulting in better blood circulation and an overall improved metabolism. Infrared saunas have significant benefits for your heart and cardiovascular system.
  • Detoxification: Sweating is one of the body's most natural ways to eliminate toxins, and infrared saunas induce a deep sweat that can help the body to eliminate up to seven times more toxins than traditional saunas.
  • Pain Relief: The heat generated by the infrared sauna can help to relieve muscle tension and alleviate pain, making it an excellent option for individuals dealing with chronic pain conditions such as arthritis or fibromyalgia.
  • Relaxation and Stress Reduction: Infrared sauna sessions promote relaxation by helping to balance cortisol levels in the body, reducing stress and promoting a sense of calm and well-being.

Dr. Harris has put exhaustive effort into research to try to help those of us with long-term COVID issues. Most doctors say no one is studying what I have and blow me off. I appreciate trying his new protocol. I can't wait to see what it does!!!

- -

Dr Harris is exceptionally educated in Natural health, truly cares about healing my son, and has put together the best protocols for optimal outcomes while adjusting supplements and treating my son on a monthly basis. We trust Dr. Harris and are so thankful for all of the extensive testing that was done in order to identify how to begin to heal his abnormalities. With Dr Harris's research, expertise, and recommendations, my son's abnormal labs have continued to correct, improving his overall health. Dr Harris makes the time to talk with us at length and thoroughly explains new supplements while ensuring by researching they are safe to take with his seizure medication. And finally, he is a genuinely caring, loving Christian doctor whom we highly respect and recommend. So grateful to have found him and his wonderful and supportive staff.

Dr. Harris is amazing; he's very thorough and knowledgeable. His demeanor is what kept me there, although I was quite skeptical if the holistic treatments would work. This summer, I'll be a year patient. I have improved leaps and bounds and cannot sing his praises enough. I am truly grateful for Dr. Harris and his amazing staff.
